David is Manning Betsy’s Booth at The Ely Arts Fest. Now, how do you do credit cards?…
Betsy is at Blueberry Fest in Ely with Phil as her helper.
David is working at Grand Portage, and on his way to Ely tomorrow.
We hope the weather is sunny and cool!…

The kids are up to mischief on the porch yes…
Great Grandpa and grandma lived here…
There is always lots of energy and activity in Austin.
On the left is Kamala and Grandpa David in a mirror at the dance studio, and on the right is David’s daughter Shawn at dance rehearsal.

David will not be cooking dinner, but he will take Betsy to Dinner today…

Its a classic sunny Midwestern storm season day in this little town. Grand Marais is not the Midwest…no way.
Dad (David) got Shawn a new guitar in Victoria Texas on the way from Seadrift to Austin. Kamala likes it. Shawn took pictures of it for us.
David’s latest pastime is clipping google satellite photos to reference wanderings.
This is Siskiwit Bay in winter (or spring) with ice breaking off and floating east to the open water of Lake Superior. Fascinating…
What a great photographer up in that satellite! I bet no one else was taking pictures of that that day.

Betsy is very faithful to her skiing.
David wants to be a fisherman instead of a Fireman…
Marco should have been working instead of wasting his time fishing…maybe not.
As Plato said “those hours spent fishing are not subtracted from your time on Earth”
Odin, Paige, and Phil are home from three and one-half years in Uganda, Africa. They bought a house near Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis.

It is 8 P.M. and we have been waiting since missing our 5:15P.M. flight to Tuluut. We fly at 9:45 P.M.
The photo is waiting for the late boarding of our plane in Atlanta, Georgia. There was snow on the ground down there. It’s pretty from the air. They even have trees, just like we do.

They won't Let Us On!
Late out of Atlanta. We flew over the birth place of David’s Grandparents and Greatgrandparents in Kentucky. From there they migrated to Missouri, and from there to Texas, and then some back to Missouri. Then David ended up migrating to Minnesota ya know…
We are at the moment flying over Dallas, Texas on the way from El Paso, Texas to Duluth, Minnesota, via Atlanta, Georgia.
It’s a clear day and I can see theNacona Texas, Oklahoma border landscape below where my Grandparents Lula Mae Brown and Hugh Fox Grinstead were married a century or so ago…
